In conjunction with the Festival of Ideas event in Putrajaya on 29th of November 2024, the UMMC Ophthalmology Department participated in the health screening programme, catered for higher institution staff and students.
The eye screening team was made up of 1 specialist, 3 medical officers and 1 optometrist.
During the screening, visual acuity was taken for all the participants, fundus photo for those with diabetic or family history of glaucoma and auto-refraction for those suspected of refractive errors. A total of 63 participants were screened and 10 were referred to optometrist and ophthalmologist for further assessment.
