Introduction to REDCap Workshop

On February 15, 2025, our department organized an engaging workshop titled "Introduction to REDCap" aimed at our in-house Master of Ophthalmology students. The program introduced participants to REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture), a secure web-based platform designed for efficient data storage, management, and analysis. REDCap is widely recognized for its robust features, including customizable forms, user access control, and compliance with HIPAA standards, making it an ideal tool for clinical and academic research.

The workshop emphasized the importance of utilizing REDCap, provided by the university free of charge, to streamline their research processes. Students were guided on how to leverage its advanced functionalities such as survey creation, and real-time data sharing.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr 'Abqariah binti Yahya@ Ahmad Noor for her expertise contribution and engaging presentation. Her hands-on guidance and practical examples greatly enriched the session, ensuring participants gained actionable knowledge to enhance their research productivity.

We hope this session offered valuable insights into modern data management practices and encouraged students to adopt this powerful tool in their research journey. By integrating REDCap into their workflow, we aim to support them in completing their studies efficiently while maintaining high standards of data security and organization.
