MOSC1 2025

The annual national ophthalmology conference is always a highly anticipated event marked on everyone's calendars. This year did not disappoint, with team UM being a strong contender in all categories, even in the Gala Night Lucky Draws!

Congratulations to all presenters and speakers for their contributions and to the organising committee for hosting everyone at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel from 25-27th April 2025. Please stay tuned for the preview of next year's conference... exhilarating things are waiting.

UM representatives for the Intervarsity Quiz (from left to right: Dr Razan Syazana, Dr Loshni Murugia, Dr Azizi Afuan, Dr Kelvin Ch'ng, Dr Saritrasaraswathy Raj) formed Team EyeConics that won the second runner-up position.

The Gala Night meant catching up with our UM alumni and all their achievements. Special congratulations to Dr Sudhashini on her Malaysian Society of Ophthalmologists Service Award.

Dato' Seri Dr. Wan Azizah binti Dr Wan Ismail, the guest of honor and Malaysia's first female deputy prime minister, was awarded the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award in Ophthalmology during the opening ceremony and was so gracious to jump in for a quick photo with UM trainees.
