In May 2023, Universiti Malaya was fortunate to have a visiting scholar from the John Hopkins University, Dr Samarjit Dass, as part of the Fulbright Specialist Program.
As with our home-grown departmental scholar, Professor Tengku Ain, Dr Das is also clinician-scientist with expertise doing translational research studies.
The visit acts as a platform for a multidisciplinary collaboration between John Hopkins and the Departments of Anaesthesiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Endocrinology, and Microbiology & Infectious Diseases. This also opens up a plethora of opportunities for potential studentships.
