Just a month following our recent World Sight Day 2023, the Department participated in a multidisciplinary event namely the World Diabetes Day!
The event ran for 3 days from the 6th till the 8th of November.
It was nice for the trainees to get out of clinics for community service once in a blue moon and of course, our task was to look at eyes (let’s be honest, we could do this non-stop) and pick-up if there were any diabetic changes.
So, what are the said changes?
Loosely speaking - bleeding and leakage in the eyes be it tiny and (hopefully not) massive.
Fortunately, out of the hundreds of patient screened, no one had rubeosis iridis.
Serving the mankind is afterall our middle name (or at least will be).
