We would like to invite applications for the position of Research Assistant for a project titled "VALIDATION
OF NOVEL HOME-GROWN AI-ASSISTED PLATFORM FOR DIABETIC RETINOPATHY DIAGNOSIS AND
PHARMACOTHERAPY/MANAGEMENT MONITORING".
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: FULL-TIME
DURATION: 1 YEAR
START DATE: IMMEDIATELY
MONTHLY ALLOWANCE: RM2,000/month
REQUIREMENT:
1. Bachelor's Degree with CGPA 3.0 and above in Biomedicine, Allied Health, Optometry, Medicine,
or relevant disciplines.
2. Keen interest in Ophthalmology / Visual Sciences / Digital Health / Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
3. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to register for the MSc programme (by
Research) under the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya.
4. Application open to Malaysian candidates.
5. Professional and Personal Qualities:
a. Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English, additional languages will be an
added value.
b. A team player with a pleasant personality and able to work independently with minimal
supervision
c. Ability to present research findings clearly in written and oral formats.
d. Keen to learn new research method and techniques as the project evolves.
e. Ability to write up quality manuscripts to publish in ISI/WoS-indexed high-impact journals.
